Hope Week — Hopeworks Ghana

Hope Week is an annual charity initiative aimed at spreading the message of hope, bringing hope to the less fortunate in society and teaching the essence of giving back to society. It is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of generous giving, learn about the needs of the community, and make a consistent effort in bringing hope to the less fortunate in deprived communities with very low or no income.

Objectives

To restore smiles on the faces of the less fortunate children in deprived communities.
Provide hope and opportunities for the less fortunate in society.

Outcome and Impact

Since the inception of the project in 2015, more than 3,800 needy children/families from 5 deprived communities in Ghana have benefitted from the provision of food items, toiletries, clothes, shoes, slippers, educational and learning materials, health education and financial literacy education/training. Beneficiary communities include Kai Me Bre Orphanage in Kasoa (Central Region), Osudoku (Eastern Region), Sekondi School for the Deaf in Inchaban (Western Region), and Obom-Sowada and Sowada in the Greater Accra Region.
