HopeWorks Ghana Conferred Global NGO Leadership Award 2020

Hopeworks Ghana, a Non-profit Organization (NGO) has been conferred the Global NGO Leadership Award at the World CSR Day 2020 & Global CSR Excellence & Leadership Awards held on 18th February 2020 in Mumbai, India to celebrate World CSR Day and celebrate the achievement in “Sustainable Development Goals”.
Hopeworks Ghana is a Non-profit Organization (NGO) that is committed to empowering disadvantaged youth in deprived communities in rural Ghana with its focus areas on basic education, entrepreneurship, skills education, charity works, job placement, disability and health. It started operations in 2015.
The award was in recognition of Hopeworks Ghana efforts, impacts and contribution in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals 1, 3 and 8 in Ghana by supporting the social and basic needs of disadvantaged children/families in deprived communities in rural Ghana through the provision of skills training for unemployed youth, educational materials for schools, basic medical equipment/logistics for deprived CHPS compounds, poverty reduction, improving the teaching and learning environments of special schools through the provision of teaching and learning materials, ensuring healthy lives by promoting access to hygiene products through the distribution of hygiene products (sanitary pads), provision of autism resource centers in the Western Region.
The Global CSR Excellence & Leadership Awards is a platform for recognizing the best practices in Corporate Social Responsibility. The Summit brings several Global Leaders under one roof. The theme for the conference was “Measuring the Impact of CSR Spends for Sustainability”.
The Awards was endorsed by the World Federation of CSR Professionals.
The President of Hopeworks Ghana expressed his appreciation to staff, partners, sponsors and volunteers for the diverse roles they played to help attain the global achievement and recognition.
