The Accra Autism Seminar was organized in collaboration with the University of Houston Clear Lake-UHCL Centre for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in Texas, USA. The one-day training workshop which discussed Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism was organized on 20th April, 2019
More than 200 instructors and teaching staff/aids, librarians, nurses, caregivers of children with disabilities, therapists (speech pathologists and occupational therapists), physical therapists, parents and professionals, etc. with children/individuals with Autism and other related developmental disabilities participated in the workshop.
The facilitators included Loukia Tsami (MA, BCBA, LBA) – Research Associate, UHCL Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, USA and Dorothea Lerman (Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA) – Professor of Psychology and Behavior Analysis – UHCL & Director of the UHCL Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, USA.
