The Autism Education Workshop was organized in collaboration with Children’s Oasis Foundation, Texas, USA to contribute to promoting the understanding and acceptance of Autism and to empower parents and professionals with children/individuals with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
It brought together more than 200 instructors and teaching staff/aids, librarians, nurses, caregivers of children with disabilities, therapists (speech pathologists and occupational therapists), physical therapists, parents and professionals, etc. with children/individuals with Autism and other related developmental disabilities. It was organized on 6th June, 2019 in Accra.
Facilitators included Ashley Gillespie, Founder/President of Children’s Oasis Foundation (Texas, USA) and Marta Brain, Vice President of Advocacy of Children’s Oasis Foundation (Texas, USA) and Autism Parent.
